Coach Wahle has coached field hockey at all levels: varsity, JV, and middle school. She played left forward on her high school varsity team and for the George Washington University’s club team from 2006-2009. In 2014 and 2015, she was part of the McDonogh varsity field hockey team’s coaching staff that made it to the IAAM A Conference championship game both years. After working at the varsity level, Wahle coached the middle school team for two years. This will be Coach Wahle’s seventh year coaching for Baltimore Stix.
Brady Wolf is a recent grad of St. Mary’s College of Maryland, where she played all four years for the Seahawks. As a freshman, Brady earned All Rookie Team by Synapse Sports, CAC Rookie of the Year, CAC second team and SMCM female athlete of the year. During her sophomore, junior and senior year she earned spots on the CAC all-Academic team and CAC second team. Brady is currently assisting the women’s field hockey team at the College of Notre Dame while earning her graduate degree. This will be Brady’s third year coaching with B-Stix.
Morgan Lowry is a senior and current player at Towson University. She has been recognized for academic achievements, game saving stick saves, and numerous assists. She has been a Futures coach at site 7 for 2 consecutive years and coaches at various camps over the summer, including the Super Sixty Summer Camp.
Prior to college, Morgan played for Mountain View High School where she was a three time regional champ, team captain, and named first team all-district, all-region and all-sate her senior year.
This will be Morgan’s fourth year coaching at the U14 level for Baltimore Stix.
Denise has been coaching field hockey for the past 17 years . She has coached at all levels, starting with 3rd grade and moving her way up to the U19 level. Coach Wolf started the McDonogh rec field hockey program 17 years ago and is still the program director today. In addition to running the rec program, she runs the Baltimore Stix FHC, which she started 11 years ago. In 2016, Wolf led the Mcdonogh Varsity team to the IAMM A conference championship in her first year as head coach. She will coaching the U14 Purple teams this year.
Mj will be starting her 6th season coaching for Baltimore Stix. She has worked with our U12, U14 and U16 teams, where she has placed in many tournaments. Mj also coached for the Freedom rec program for over 9 years. Mj is known for her strict but yet fun approach to coaching. She demands only the best from her players and for that, her teams thrive. Her team has been undefeated in tournament play the past two years! We are very fortunate to have MJ in the program as she is also our resident PT.
Sammie Jo Grove
Sammie Jo was Franklin High School’s varsity head coach for 7 years before retiring last season. Prior to heading up the varsity team, Sammie coached the JV team and held the Commissioner position for the Reisterstown Rec indoor field hockey program for 6 years. She has also worked with Nike at their summer camps as well as coached for the USA Futures program at the McDaniel location. Sammie played hockey for Franklin HS and continued her hockey career at McDaniel college. This will be Sammie’s 7th season with Baltimore Stix.
Coach Winiarski is currently one of the coaches for the McDonogh JV field hockey team. In addition to coaching field hockey, she also coaches the middle school basketball and varsity lacrosse teams. Prior to coaching at McDonogh, Coach Winiarski played lacrosse at Drexel University and coached for the PA Express lacrosse club team in Downingtown, PA. Field hockey wise, she started playing in the local youth field hockey league before transitioning into the WC Eagles program in Pottstown, PA. Eva is excited for her second year with the Baltimore Stix program.
Coach Holley is a current Sophomore playing field hockey at Towson University. She attended Perry Hall high school where she played field hockey and ran track. Her senior year she collected quite a few accolades including spots on the All-Division 1st team, All Star and All County 1st team in field hockey. Coach Holley played for the Malik Stars FHC and was the first player to commit to a DI program. She has experience in coaching from her years working with the Perry Hall rec program. Coach Holley will be coaching our U16 white team this year.
